"Passages"

Post by DeeLovesWriting » April 26th, 2012, 8:29 am

“Passages”

Times and seasons; the passages of life
Dreams, expectations; a forward glance
Troubles, trials; God's Providential Hand
Faith forged in the fires of circumstance

Grace, goodness; the privilege of prayer
His Tender Mercies, His Amazing Love
Lavished upon His Children, one and all
Blessings in Jesus sent down from above

I like the concise nature of this one, squeezing the key messages into the poem without any filler - it gives this piece a distinctive spoken quality while still engaging the reader. An excellent read, and the line "Faith forged in the fires of circumstance" really stands out to me.
