waiting..

Post by Hazy_ » August 1st, 2017, 8:26 am

..and I turn the pages of my book,
the ink still old ,
but the pages fresh and new - awaiting
a drop of the same ink..

old ink tells this reader that the book has been a long time into writing.. fresh pages in front of him says there is still more to write yet the fact he is waiting shows perhaps slowing down.. much enjoyed.

"...the ink still old." I perceive this to mean quite old and maybe the inkwell has dried up and will never touch the pages again... the thought(s) forever lost.
