That last couplet still leaves me with an ache of understanding. Beautiful poetry, glad to find it here to enjoy again. Congratulations on a well deserved Spotlight.

Thanks again for sharing.

It does me good to read impactful poetry where brevity figures highly. I love how your words reduce down to the title thought, well deserved spot of course, mx

So many times I see your poetry and admire how you can say so much with relatively few words, and this is another example of that. It's sensual, but so graceful and beautifully written that it celebrates a moment worth celebrating - no matter how fleeting it is in the bigger scale of things. It's a Flamey poem, I think I'd recognise that even without your name attached, and it's a wonderful read.
Congratulations on the spotlight!

What strikes me most here is not the sensuality but the sense of loneliness, this poem feels tragic: as if a memory of closeness is the best you can expect, nothing more, which I suppose is true for everyone in the end. Love might last forever but that physical closeness does not, for one reason or another. Beautiful brevity, well done.

Make fellow poets happy and comment on their poems.

I do not often comment on spotlights but
this piece is simply phenomenal. The sensuality of it all,
is so perfectly captured that I sit here in a half aroused, half
dejected state of mind. Simply put- amazing.

and at least when it's over,
and my hearts no longer racing,

    i'll have a memory,
which is life enough for me.

What happens when a memory comes back?
