Confession

Post by Unknown Soul » May 13th, 2014, 8:23 pm

Confession

I drink from a well of sorrow,
For thy water is not ill enough,
To feed my pain.
I am insane.
But I shall not hear it from thee,
I do not care how you feel,
For I am dead.
Inside I'm dead.
And I only wait every day,
For the ticking clock
To become a bell.
I'm going to hell.
But that is what I wish,
For my soul is a lunatic
Craving for ache.
For God's sake!
I cannot stand you,
'Cause you bring the heaven
To one of the devils.

I drink from a well of sorrow,
For thy water is not ill enough,
This first line is awesome. I really like this work, and really hope you continue to write.

Sounds to me like one of the devils might be receptive to a touch of heaven on occasion US? The opening was a blockbuster for this piece, that constructed a very hopeless and disparaging worldview, although I'm sure at least well-founded in your mind. Society will chew us up and spit us out if we diverge from the norm, so be kind to yourself because nobody else will be - except for maybe that one, innocent angel, cheers!

I absolutely loved that line. It caught me and kept me reading. Great piece. Keep up the work.

So many of us feed our aches and pains. You expressed it so well in your first two lines.
Giving up on life, waiting for endings instead of beginnings is a constant state of depression. but you have met someone who brings heaven into your world. You as Narrator resist by stating, 'I cannot stand you.' That special someone is bringing change to Narrator's life. Congratulations for TPS Recognition.

Thank you for your comment Josie! Great analysis... I had no idea that my work was being recognized here in any kind of way, haven't visited for some time now, but you have brought me back with your comment, so thank you for that! I am very thankful for the recognition!
