surrender

Post by truthsparked » November 30th, 2012, 10:06 am

today i stop fighting,
because as i looked into
the depths of my heart,
i cried, thanked God
for all that i have,
and realized–
i have already won.

What a powerful, thought-provoking message contained in these few simple lines. Great poem.

Good for you...it is a great sense of relief to "let go and let God" as they say...we all have a tendency to want to control everything around us, and it's just not humanly possible as much as we would like for it to be....I enjoyed reading this well written and insightful piece...Musie

Getting to the bottom of what we are, is a huge win! Wish more would press to get there!

Very much enjoyed!

So simple and elegant, while saying so much! Congrats on the spotlight!

Beautifully said - in many ways I feel like I'm in this place. I have a ways to go still and often wish I could have arrived here 20 years ago.

Short, blunt, and very effective. I need this hanging somewhere so I can look to it when I feel the urge to abandon myself. Wisdom drips from every word. Thank you, much enjoyed.
