Amy Marie Hess is small town poet from Worthington, West Virginia. Her poetry has been published in numerous poetry journals and magazines throughout the globe as well as won competitions and awards. She is the author of 3 personal poetry books, as well as a co-author of The Simon Collective, a children's poetry book series. Amy is the owner and administrator of an online poetry community, The Poet Sanctuary, she was also elected Vice President of the West Virginia Poetry Society in January of 2008 and will hold her term with them for 4 more years.

Away from the poetry scene, Amy enjoys spending time with her friends, gardening and soaking in the sun, as well as lounging with her puppy and making plans for her and her fiancee's wedding to be held in October of 2010.
